Although a Utah native and a mountain fanatic, Nathan couldn't resist the allure of working in San Francisco, where he freelanced at several studios before joining Elixir Design in 1997. Regardless of the project, whether it is corporate identity, marketing collateral, or catalog art direction, Nathan has been referred to as the "stone-polisher" for his love of the details. He has collaborated on projects for diverse clients, including Sundance, New Leaf Paper, and The Jerde Partnership. His corporate identity work is held in the Architecture and Design Permanent Collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and has been honored by the American Center for Design, the AIGA, Communication Arts, Graphis, Print, and The Type Directors Club.
